THE NOT EASILY IGNITABLE MATERIALS TEST, EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURE FOR PRIMARY DECK COVERINGS

The controls to be carried out on primary deck coverings in order to ascertain that they are not readily ignitable were so far the subject of a wide and keen analysis before IMCO within the Fire Protection Sub-committee. A summary of the studies concerning this subject and the present stage of the situation are reported here. An account is given of the work carried out by the Research Department of the R.I.N.A. in order to put Italy in line with the latest achievements gained as a result of cooperative international efforts sponsored by IMCO.
