THE SAFETY OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM OF VEHICLE COMBINATIONS
AJONEUVOYHDISTELMAN JARRUJARJESTELMAN TURVALLISUUS
The purpose of the study was to determine a means of increasing the safety of the brake system of vehicle combinations. In experimental tests it was found that a free-wheel prevents side slip of the axle on which it was used. When the vehicle combination was empty the braking distance decreased. On the other hand when the combination was loaded the braking distance increased. (TRRL)
