FREON-COOLED CHOPPERS FOR TROLLEY BUS APPLICATIONS
This paper descirbes the characteristics of Alsthom-Atlantique's choppers: all the main components of the choppers are placed inside a freon-filled container. The liquid cooling system efficiently protects those components against aggressive external elements while maintaining the semiconductors at a more constant average temperature.
