AMERICA'S SEAPORT INDUSTRY: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS
In this article, the author discusses the importance of seaports to the nation's economy and national security, the growth of and economic difficulties facing the seaport industry, and the industry's relations with the Federal Government, and presents his view on both the current and proposed policies of the Administration with respect to the U.S. seaport industry.
