TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 1984 AUTOMOBILES
New developments for 1984 U. S. automobiles include: greater use of electronic equipment, for example, for fuel injection and ignition; 4-speed automatic transmission designed specifically for transverse-mounted front-wheel drive vehicles; addition of turbocharging to several electronically fuel-injected. 4-cyl engines; electronically controlled air suspension; and a 4-cyl engine specifically designed for 4-wheel-drive utility vehicles.
