APPLICATION OF ON-LINE COMPUTERS IN TRAFFIC CONTROL

ON-LINE TOEPASSINGEN VAN DE COMPUTER IN DE VERKEERSREGELTECHNIEK

At the Laboratory for Traffic Control Technique of the Verkeersakademie it is possible to collect on-line data from traffic control and on the state of the traffic and to evaluate these data. In this way the traffic control process can be studied and possibly corrected. The automatic measurement of delays can be carried out. Also on-line optimisation techniques such as SCAT and SCOOT are within the scope of the laboratory. (TRRL)
