ASSIGNMENT OF CAR-TRIPS DERIVED FROM THE NATIONAL TRAFFIC SURVEY TO THE DUTCH ROAD NETWORK

TOEDELING AUTOVERPLAATSINGEN UIT BESTAAND ONDERZOEK VERPLAATSINGSGEDRAG AAN HET NEDERLANDSE WEGENNET

This paper describes the results of the assignment of the private vehicle trips made in the Netherlands during an average working day. The assigned trip matrix has been derived from the national travel survey held in 1979 and 1980. For a number of road sections and screenlines the assigned traffic flows have been compared with traffic counts. The results of the comparisons on screenlines indicate that the interzonal trips are represented reasonably well in the travel survey. (Author/TRRL)
