STEEL FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS IN TORSION
The results of 28 torsion tests on steel-fibre reinforced beams are presented and discussed. The parameters varied were the type, aspect ratio and the volume fraction of the fibres used as well as the cross-sectional dimensions of the beam. Methods of predicting the cracking torque and the ultimate torque are proposed; the predictions obtained by the suggested methods are shown to be satisfactory by comparing them with the torques observed in the tests carried out by the authors and previous investigators.
