ROAD DENSITY MODELS DESCRIBING HABITAT EFFECTIVENESS FOR ELK
Models depicting elk response to changes in the density of forest roads are discussed. The technique described produces a model that coincides with actual elk behavior. This model can be used to predict habitat effectiveness for elk at road densities up to six miles per square mile.
