ONE-ATMOSPHERE SUBSEA TRANSFER SYSTEMS
This paper describes methods of transporting personnel, under normal atmospheric conditions, from the surface to dry, one-atmosphere hydrocarbon production chambers. It begins with a discussion of the state of the art of various transfer systems, both existing and conceptual; defines transfer system requirements in light of the typical range of subsea tasks; and concludes with an evaluation of the various design options.
