AN ERGONOMIC STUDY OF DRIVING INSTRUCTORS. HEAD MOVEMENTS
ERGONOMISK STUDIE AV TRAFIKLAERARE. EN TIDS- OCH FREKVENSSTUDIE OEVER VISSA HUVUDROERELSER
The aim of this investigation is to study head movements of driving instructors in order to outline why they often have pains in their neck. The driving instructors were compared to taxi drivers and emergency medical drivers. Results show that the driving instructors turn their head to the left more frequently and keep it in this position longer than the others. Some suggestions are made regarding how to improve the working environment in order to reduce these head movements. (TRRL)
