RECYCLING OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURE

AATERANVAENDNING AV GAMMAL ASFALTMASSA

The report is mainly based on literature studies of different recycling methods used in the USA, Germany, England, Denmark and Sweden. Cold recycling has been studied in situ. The ageing of bitumen and the possibilities of using rejuvenators are discussed. The influence of studded tyres on rutting is also dealt with. Finally, the differences between hot and cold milling are discussed and different makes of cold milling machines are presented. (TRRL)
