1984 LOUISIANA WORLD EXPOSITION. STATEWIDE ACCESS PLAN
The purpose of this study was to inventory those existing transportation facilities state residents planning to visit the World Exposition would use to access New Orleans and the Exposition site, project transportation demand to the World Exposition among state residents, overlay projected transportation demand onto the existing transportation system in order to identify system deficiencies, and to develop recommendations and implementation strategies designed to meet projected transportation demand through the effective use of existing transportation facilities and the implementation of Exposition related transportation alternatives while mitgating any negative impacts on the Metropolitan New Orleans area and its transportation system.
