OVERSEAS TRANSPORTATION OF PRIMARY ENERGY OF NATURAL GAS: LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS OR METHANOL?

TRANSPORT OUTRE-MER DE L'ENERGIE PRIMAIRE DU GAZ NATURELI G.N.L. OU METHANOL

The techniques and the characteristics of the installations required for L.N.G. or Methanol transportation are compared, depending on the scale of the precise problem in question. The costs of the delivered therm for each system are then compared. It is concluded that the competitiveness of L.N.G. is beyond question, except for very long distances of maritime transportation.
