ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION BILL

The bill introduces an act to consolidate the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967, and certain related enactments, with amendments giving effect to recommendations of the law commission. Clauses are detailed in the following parts: 1) general provisions for traffic regulation; 2) traffic regulation in special cases; 3) crossings and playgrounds; 4) parking places; 5) traffic signs; 6) speed limits; 7) bollards and other obstructions; 8) control and enforcement; 9) further provisions as to enforcement; and 10) general and supplementary provisions. A table showing the derivation of the provisions of the consolidation bill is appended although it has no official status. (TRRL)
