DYNAMIC STABILITY OF STIFFENED CYLINDRICAL SHELLS LOADED WITH AN EXTERNAL PRESSURE IMPULSE
DINAMICHESKAYA USTOICHIVOST' PODKREPLENNYKH TSILINDRICHESKIKH OBOLOCHEK PRI NAGRUZHENII IMPUL'SOM VENSHNEGO DAVLENIYA
Results are presented of an experimental and theoretical investigation of the stability of stiffened cylindrical shells under impulse pressure. The effectiveness of the annular and waffle-type stiffenings is investigated. The method of calculation of stiffened shells to withstand radial dynamic pressure is constructed on the basis of the theory of flow of semi-momentless shells. Satisfactory agreement between the theoretical and experimental data is obtained.
