BACKGROUND DOCUMENTATION OF THE CAMPAIGN "PRIORITY, LOOK FIRST"

ACHTERGRONDDOCUMENTATIE ACTIE "VOORRANG, BEKIJK HET EERST"

The publicity campaign had the aim of increasing the knowledge of rules of priority in traffic for road users of 15 to 21 years old. In particular for those persons riding a bicycle or a moped for which no driving licence is needed. Behaviour at junctions, reaction time versus braking distance stopping distance and the use of the moped brake are listed. Infrastructural measures for improved safety of moped riders are presented. An article on a repressive policy as regards young cyclists and moped riders is also included. (TRRL)
