TRENDS IN INTERMODAL REFRIGERATED CONTAINER SYSTEMS
Foreign ship owners with their new fleets of plenum containerships are providing a transport service superior to conventional practice in the U.S. The purpose of this paper is to acquaint U.S. shipowners with the threat of overseas competition and the availability to meet it. Only shippers with improved equipment can hope to meet this competition and thus not only preserve but also expand our food-export industry.
