Real-Time Monitoring System and Evaluation Method of Asphalt Pavement Paving Temperature Segregation
Temperature segregation control is of great importance to improve the quality of asphalt pavement construction. In this paper, the real-time collection method of paving temperature was studied, and compared with other temperature monitoring methods. It is proven that the method in this study has its own advantages on temperature monitoring of segregation. Based on the infrared temperature sensors array which was evenly arranged on the paving section and distance sensor, the real-time acquisition device of asphalt pavement temperature was developed. Through the interpolation algorithm, the temperature data of discrete points collected by the device mentioned above were expanded into the surface temperature data. In addition, software was developed to draw the paving temperature cloud chart. A new evaluation method of temperature uniformity was put forward in this paper to extend the temperature statistics method which is mentioned in current studies from points to area. Based on the method, the non-uniformities paving areas were quantified, and could be visually displayed on the cloud chart, to provide additional support for the construction management. Finally, a remote monitoring platform was developed to store and process the real-time data received from paving sites, to achieve construction site remote monitoring and real-time early warning.
