The Influence of Mixing Temperature on the Performance of Hot In-Plant Recycled Asphalt Mixture
Dealing with reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) becomes more and more important in the development of road industry. Hot in-plant recycling technology are widely used to solve RAP. This paper mainly studies the influence of mixing temperature on the performance of hot in-plant recycled asphalt mixture. Several conclusion can be drew as follow through the study. The performance of hot in-plant recycled asphalt mixture can meet the specifications’ requirements. The proportion of RAP influences mixing temperature greatly, and, it’s main influencing factor of the mixture’s performance. The strength, high-temperature stability, and water stability of recycled mixture increase with the proportion of RAP improving. Mixing temperature has little effect on the performance of mixture. It is necessary to choose higher RAP temperature when the proportion of RAP is high. Otherwise the temperature of mixture cannot meet the requirements.
