MINI COMPUTER PROCESSING AND DISPLAY FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO VTS
An Experimental Vessel Traffic System intended to advise vessels of traffic conditions within the San Francisco Deep Draft Waterway System is described. An all-weather radar/communication/computer complex, it consists of two surveillance radar systems (which automatically detect and track contacts within the sea approach and the harbor), one traffic analysis computer, three interactive display computer/processors and five non-interactive display processors.
