Social risk factors at the transport industry enterprises in the conditions of digitalization

This paper studies the problem of social and psychological safety of railway workers in the context of the implementation of the Digital Railway concept. The basic theoretical concepts (social risk, social risks at enterprises) have been clarified. The results of a study on the perception of social security factors by railway workers are presented. The “Methodology for calculating social risks at the enterprises of the transport industry. Scientific and methodological recommendations” is developed. The purpose of the study is to identify, substantiate and present: factors of social risks at enterprises of the transport industry, a methodology for assessing social risks at enterprises of the transport industry, the results of an empirical study to assess the perception of social risks by railway workers in the context of the transition to digital technologies. Research methods: content analysis, questionnaire survey, risk maps, expert assessments, social and psychological tests, mathematical methods of processing social information. As a methodology for calculating and assessing risks, the author’s development “Methodology for calculating social risks at transport enterprises. Scientific methodological recommendations” was used. Based on the study (2000-2020), the following basic theoretical concepts were identified and substantiated: ‘risks’, ‘social risks’, ‘social risks in the transport industry’. The factors of social risks at railway transport enterprises in the context of the implementation of the Digital Railway concept are identified and substantiated. The “Methodology for calculating social risks at the enterprises of the transport industry. Scientific and methodological recommendations” is developed.
