Influence of flapper-nozzle transducer parameters on the flow rate amplification factor
The aim of the research was to determine expressions describing influence of geometrical parameters of the flapper-nozzle type measuring transducer on its flow amplification factor, and on their basis to conduct numerical simulation on determining influence of nozzle orifices parameters and supply pressure on the flow amplification factor. The research methodology consisted in: theoretical substantiation of the proposed dependences describing geometrical and tuning parameters of the measuring transducer; an analysis of numerical results obtained by mathematical modelling using the MathCAD program and establishment of the regression dependence. As a result, there is an adequate linear dependence of supply pressure and nozzle diameter on the flow amplification factor. The required value of flow amplification factor can be achieved based on given supply pressure and by selection of nozzle diameter.
