Construction of a new and stabilization of the exploited subgrade on the conditions of the permafrost soils of the northern latitudinal railway
The construction of the Northern Latitudinal Railway plays an important role for the further industrial development of the energy resources of the Russian Federation - large oil and gas fields of the Arctic zone. An important problem of construction is the effective construction of the roadbed of the railway track. The characteristic of the Northern Latitudinal Passage is given. The experience of operation and the causes of deformations of railway embankments on the bases of permafrost soils are considered. The principles and examples of designing the roadway in the conditions of the Northern Latitudinal Railway during its construction and stabilization of the operated one are given. The application of these principles of design and stabilization of the roadway will significantly reduce losses from the possible occurrence of deformations.
