Research on Risk Assessment Model, Method, and Index System of High Speed Maglev System
The high speed maglev system is a highly complex transportation system composed of four tightly coupled subsystems: vehicle, guideway, propulsion and power supply, and operation control. At present, there are still no applicable assessment models and corresponding codes for the risk assessment of a high speed maglev system. The close coupling between the subsystems brings about complexity, thus increasing the complexity of risk assessment. In October 2015, a comprehensive assessment of the system status of the Shanghai maglev line was carried out. Based on operation data accumulated over the years, factors including man, machinery, environment, and management were considered. Effects of system redundancy design, balance, and state maintenance were also taken into account. In this article, the guideway system is taken as an example to illustrate the main points of this assessment. A multi-layer structure model of the risk assessment and corresponding method are introduced.
