The Network Design Model of Customized Buses in Diversified Operation Mode
In this paper, the customized bus is defined as an auxiliary passenger bus service system in the public transport system. The route of the customized bus is designed based on the reservation that passenger make in advance, which is different from the regular bus. It provides a special public transit service by collecting travel demand of every passenger, especially for the people with similar travel time, similar travel demands, and from similar areas. Moreover, the stations, routes, and time table of customized bus are also confirmed. And this paper also describes the diversified operation mode of customized bus and network design model of multi-origin-destination and multi-type and mixed-load vehicle mode. To solve this model, the research team makes some assumptions and the network design model is described by a mathematical model with a unique solution. The network design model is solved by using genetic algorithm and it is also verified by an example.
