Study on Railway Passenger Transport Hub and Urban Public Transport Connection—A Case Study of Xi’an North Railway Station
As an important node for an urban transportation system, a railway passenger hub station ties internal and external traffic as well as passengers to travel. Therefore, it is necessary to study the transfer connection system of a railway passenger transport hub and urban public transport, aiming at improving the efficiency of passenger transfers. This paper constructs a capacity-matching model and a time-reliability model. Then, combined with Xi’an North Railway Station and Metro Line 2, it calculates different capacity matching degrees based on different departure intervals and full-load ratios. Finally, simulation of an escalator and ticket checker of a railway station is conducted by using micro simulation software to make recommendations.
