CYLINDER PRESSURE ACQUISITION SYSTEM

As ships of late become larger and speedier, there is a tendency to adopt a multi-engine multi-shaft propulsion plant and as a result, it is necessary and important to automate the operation, control, maintenance, etc. of the engine. The system for gathering the cylinder pressure data, by which the condition of diesel engine is directly obtained, has been developed by Mitsui. It is a device that simultaneously registers the pressure data of multi cyclinders of the diesel engine, and speedily processes and transfers the data to a computer. This system displays an excellent processing capability for diesel engines, particularly, the engine having multi-cylinders. Thus it is considered very useful to make a more sophisticated engine condition monitoring system that can acquire and process the data on the cylinder pressure of diesel engine.
