Traffic Safety Facts 2020 Data: Bicyclists and Other Cyclists
In 2020 there were 938 pedalcyclist fatalities, which accounted for 2.4 percent of all traffic fatalities during the year. In 2020 there was a 9-percent increase in pedalcyclists killed (938) from the 859 pedalcyclists killed in 2019. In 2020 an estimated 38,886 pedalcyclists were injured, a 21-percent decrease from 49,057 pedalcyclists injured in 2019.
