FIRE IN ECONOMIZERS AND AIR HEATERS ABOARD SHIP
The problems of fighting fires in the economizers and air heaters aboard ship are briefly outlined and discussed. General guidelines on the prevention, detection, and fighting of such fires are offered, with factors contributing to the start of these fires also discussed. Specific indications of economizer fires, as well as precautions which should be observed to prevent such fires, are also listed.
