SYRIA BUILDING A SUPERTANKER TERMINAL

The U.A.R. Suez Canal Authority's al-Timsah Shipbuilding Co. will construct a mooring buoy capable of serving tankers of up to 200,000 dwt for Syria, along with an offshore tanker-loading line capable of delivering up to 30,000 bbl/yr. The equipment will be installed at Syrian General Petroleum Co.'s Tartus oil export terminal.
