PERSIAN GULF OFFSHORE CRUDE TERMINALS

The new terminal being built off Iran by an IMODCO International, Inc. Affiliate for Societe Irano-Italienne des Petroles will load supertankers through a 20 in. dia manifold at 55,000 bbl/hr. The offshore location in deep water avoids costs for dredging and fixed docks and can accommodate the deepest-draft tankers. The terminal can be moved to another location if conditions change with regard to oil production or political factors.
