Design of Control Unit of Traction System Based on CPCI Bus

With the development of high-speed railway, it is necessary to design a traction control system with high performance, high stability, and high system integration. The Compact Peripheral Component Interconnect (CPCI) bus is widely used in industrial automation because of its system integration and good stability. The CPCI bus is used as the connection mode between the board and the host computer, which enables the system to be compatible with a variety of operating systems and processors. The design of the CPCI bus enables the board to transmit data at high speed and on the host computer. In addition, the CPCI bus’s unique European pin standard has improved the reliability and stability of the board. The main content of this paper is the development of traction master control unit based on CPCI bus. The design of the main control system includes AD acquisition module, digital signal processing module, and CPCI bus module. Based on the high-speed data transmission of CPCI bus and the coordinated control of DSP and FPGA, a high-efficiency and high-performance traction control system is designed.
