THE U.K.'S FIRST MONOBUOY
The U.K.'s first monobuoy has been placed in service by Continental Oil Co. 5 mi off Tetney, on the Lincolnshire coast. The $16,800,000 facility consists of the 120 ton monobuoy, a pipeline to shore, and a 1 million bbl storage farm complex. From the tank farm another pipeline carries crude oil to Conoco's new Humber refinery, 14 mi away at South Killingholme.
