Supply Chain Management and Logistic Development in International Context: Challenge for Cross-National Education
Today’s geopolitical situation and Trans-European Transport Network’s (TEN-T) regional initiatives are linking the region’s logistics sector’s needs closer together than ever. Due to the cross-border nature of the transport and joint need of regional enterprises for further integration with the European market there is a need to reduce fragmentation education in such an important area as Supply Chain Management and Logistics and requests an integrated approach to fulfil the requirements with variation in the didactical methodologies of on-campus, off-campus and blended learning approaches to achieve volatile market needs and learning outcomes. The authors were involved in the development of curricula for a double degree diploma in the field of Supply Chain Management and Logistics, as a pilot project of the practical use of tools for algorithm-based automation of curriculum development. The purpose of the curricula development was threefold. First target was matching national, international, academic, non-academic and professional needs and requirements of learning-outcomes-orientated curricula and qualifications development for increasing readiness for working in the single European labour market. Second aim was supporting the identification and satisfaction of learning needs for development of key competencies in all stages from early childhood and throughout life. Third target was to implement up-to-date didactical methodologies of on-campus, off-campus and blended learning approaches for theoretical and practical modules to achieve volatile market needs and learning-outcomes.
