Guaranteed QoS Model for Virtual Data Channels in Complex Network Infrastructure
The paper considers the task of modeling guaranteed Quality of Services (QoS) in complex network infrastructure maintained by the railway industry. Preliminary technical aspects of the described network infrastructure comprise several parameters such as type of virtual data channel, committed information rate, burst information rate, maximal peak information rate (PIR). The PIR parameter has stochastic nature as QoS metric, except the ideal maximum value depending on used technical facilities. Paper proposes a novel QoS model to ensure PIR in every time moment considering a channel state, which can be interpreted as a situation concerned with virtual channel functioning capacity. Based on that, a novel guaranteed QoS model for virtual channel and a control strategy to hold guaranteed equilibrium have been proposed. The strategy is based on the stochastic martingale process and reassigning proportions in overall network loadings. The paper comprises a numerical example for calculation of the stochastic martingale process using four-step generalized Haar filtration.
