Risks Associated with Changes in Management Staff in the Airline. Kazakhstan Case Study

The current research discusses the risks which appear to an air operator when the managerial personnel changes occurs. The case study of changing the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) Manager of an air operator located in Kazakhstan (Air Astana) was considered. The risks associated with changing of CAMO Manager were determined. For theoretical research, the ICAO risk matrix along with risk probability and assessment calculation for risk forecasting were used. Probability of forecasting incidents using Poisson distribution also was processed. As a result of the research, the authors developed recommendations on how to assess, predict and minimize risks to the air operator in such situations.
