A SYSTEMS APPROACH TO ROAD MAINTENANCE
The paper presents a systems approach for dealing with the problem of road maintenance management in India, which has been considered as an integral part of the whole system of road development. The various sub-components of the approach, said to require a considerable amount of data collection and analysis, are described. A number of field surveys and specially designed studies in this connection are detailed and further work and recommendations for the adoption of the approach described are suggested. (TRRL)
