TOWER TANKER MOORING REQUIRES LITTLE MAINTENANCE

The French firm Gem-Hersent Offshore has developed a monotubular structure for offshore loading or discharge of crude oil that eliminates need for submarine hoses and anchor chains by direct connection to the sea-line. The installation procedure is described briefly with a diagram.
