Telematics as a New Method of Transport System Safety Verification
Telematics, as a set of technical solutions, has become an essential element of transport infrastructure and equipment of various means of transport. The introduction of new technical solutions in transport requires determining the impact of these solutions on the process of managing and controlling transport. With regard to transport safety, the research problem is to estimate the value of indicators characterizing safety. One of the research methods may be modeling, which allows to check various scenarios at the design and implementation stages. The article analyzes two examples of transport systems equipped with telematics systems. The analysis of the results shows that the use of additional telematics solutions improves the safety indicators. The proposed mathematical apparatus makes it possible to estimate the numerical values of safety.
