COMFORT AND SECURITY EVALUATION IN AUTOMOBILES BASED ON CAUSES ORIGINATING IN STEERED WHEELS
EVALUATION DU CONFORT ET DE LA SECURITE EN AUTOMOBILE, BASEE SUR DES EVENEMENTS PROVENANT DU TRAIN AVANT
This experimental work makes a comparative study of the vertical and longitudinal vibratory response of a moving vehicle, on variation of two parameters - the suspension and the tyres. The methodology and instrumentation used allow differentiation of the vibratory response on variation of these paramaters, and due to their versatility, can be used in the characterisation of dynamic phenomena in cars through vibratory analysis. The study shows that there is a strong interaction between tyres and suspension, such that each vehicle denotes a given sensitivity to the variation in these parameters, mainly in the area of 10 to 15 hz, which is the most significant one in assessment on comfort.
