KINKING HOSES BUT NO CATASTROPHE
There is little or no danger that the hose for a Single Anchor Leg Mooring System (SALM) might be cut by a tanker, because a launch moves the hose out of the way while the tanker approaches from the other side. Esso Research & Engineering Co.'s SALM technology is available for license from IMODCO U.S.A. and SBM, Inc., as well as from Sofec, Inc.
