TENSION STRAIGHTENING AND DESTRESSING OF RAILS
DRESSAGE ET DETENSIONNEMENT DES RAILS PAR TRACTION
Presentation of a tension straightening process studied, developed and patented by SACILOR (Lorraine Steel and Rolling Mills Company) from 1979 to 1982, with technical (straigthening, destressing, higher elasticity values) advantages as well as economic ones (no additional investment in hydraulic presses to straighten ends, lower operating costs than those for roller straightening).
