A FLOATING PORT IN THE NORTH SEA FOR TANKERS OF 500,000 DWT
The possibility is discussed of unloading large tankers in the North Sea by means of a pontoon moored about 3 km offshore. Total storage capacity of the project would be 480,000 cu m, and pumping equipment would be installed for transferring the oil to the Continent through a submerged pipeline.
