CONTROLLED DRINKING. A HISTORY AND A CRITICAL REVIEW
The history of the controlled drinking controversy is traced, and relevant research is reviewed. It is concluded that moderation-oriented approaches hold at least as much promise as abstinence-oriented methods in treating less dependent problem drinkers.
