TRAFFIC SAFETY OF ONE-WAY CYCLE TRACKS ON RURAL INTERSECTIONS (2)

DE VERKEERSVEILIGHEID VAN EENRICHTINGSFIETSPADEN OP KRUISPUNTEN BUITEN DE BEBOUWDE KOM

This article describes the method of analysis of traffic safety of the design of cycle crossings parallel to the major road. Based on the relation between the design or intensity characteristics - both mutually and in relation to relevant accident categories - the most important independent variables were selected. These were used in the analysis of several log-linear models. The results thereof were used in the evaluation of hypotheses; recommendations are given for the design of safe cycle crossings.(a) for part 1 of the paper see TRIS abstract 380411. (TRRL)
