HOSE IS IMPORTANT IN SBM (SINGLE BUOY MOORING) CONSTRUCTION
Flexpipe, developed by SBM Inc., provides an answer to the subsea hose problem with single buoy moorings. The system comprises a vertical pipe connected to the SBM and a horizontal pipe connected directly to the seabed pipeline manifold. The pipe sections are linked together to form a continuous flow line, all connections being made by universal joints. The system is described in detail.
