MAINTENANCE OF ESCALATORS IN METROPOLITAN RAILWAYS
ESKALATORNOE HOZJAJSTVO METROPOLITENOV
27 types of escalators, with a total length of 95.9 km were in use in Soviet metropolitan railways in 1982. After describing the main features of various types of escalators used since 1935, the author gives details of repair methods and measures aimed at optimising maintenance and operation.
