FOLLOW-UP STUDY OF SPEEDS ON RURAL ROADS. MEASUREMENTS MADE DURING THE WINTER 1979-80 AND AUTUMN 1980
HASTIGHETSUPPFOELJNING PAA LANDSVAEG. MAETRESULTAT VINTERN 1979/80 OCH HOESTEN 1980
The follow-up study, which consists of spot speed measurements, was carried out at 18 different locations with measurements being repeated at four different times during the year at each location. The locations chosen for measurement were straight, level roads with varying speed limits and cross-sections. These data and other data from the Institute's traffic studies in the field are used as a basis for different analysis described in other contexts. However, it is especially important that the follow-up study facilitates analysis of the effects that new measures or factors may have on traffic, such as changed speed limits or fuel prices.
