TEST ROAD SOLLEBRUNN 1981
PROVVAEGEN SOLLEBRUNN 1981. FOERSOEK MED BAERLAGER STABILISERAT MED MALEN HYTTSAND
The roadbase of Road No. 1042, which is a gravel road, was strengthened by cement-stabilized sand during the summer of 1981. For a distance of 100 metres, however, the roadbase was stabilized by calcium-activated granulated slag. The test material was easy to compact and could be trafficked by heavy vehicles in unsealed condition. A continuing increase in the bearing capacity was noted. (TRRL)
